Tooth(Canine) Exposure
Dr. Abril provides orthodontic assistance to referring doctors or patients.
Frenectomies and Canine exposures are among the most common procedures performed to enhance the results of orthodontic treatment.
Impacted teeth are commonly seen by the orthodontist. During the orthodontic treatment the desired movement of a tooth that fails to erupt on time can be assisted by a surgical exposure. Canines are the most common impacted teeth after the wisdom teeth. Therefore, the exposure of a canine tooth is a very common procedure in periodontics. A flap is design and after the tooth can be visible a bracket is bonded at the time of the surgery to facilitate with the active eruption of the tooth.
