BONE GRAFTING AROUND TEETH AND/OR IMPLANTS

PERIODONTAL REGENERATION

Bone loss can be found during periodontal disease. Periodontal regeneration not only counteract the loss of the supporting structures of the tooth but also regenerates the bone preventing tooth loss. These regenerative procedures consist of the removal of bacteria and their toxins and creating a better environment for the new bone to be formed. This minor surgical procedure will bring back the health and the function to the structures that support the teeth. In certain occasions, these regenerative procedures are performed with the osseous surgery by our periodontist. Bone grafts and resorbable membranes are some of the materials used to stimulate the healing and the regeneration of the tissue.
